Wordpress Security - What Everybody Should Know About Securing A Blog

I have had two WordPress blogs hacked into in the past. That was at a time when I was doing very little internet marketing, and until I found time to address the situation (months later), these sites were penalised in the search engines. They were not removed, but the rankings were reduced.

I back up my blogs using a free plugin WP DB Backup. I can restore my website if anything happens. I use my site to be scanned by WP Security Scan free plugin and asks that are suspicious-looking to be blocked by WordPress Firewall to repair hacked wordpress site.

Use strong passwords - Do your best to use a password, alpha-numeric. Easy to remember passwords are also easy to guess!

A snap to move - If, for some reason, you want to relocate your website, such as a domain name change or a new web host, getting your files at your fingertips can save you oodles of time, hassle, and the need for tech help.

Another step to take to make WordPress more secure is to upgrade WordPress. The reason for this is that with each new update there also come fixes for security holes making it essential to update early.

Oh . And by the way, I was talking about plugins. Make sure it's a safe one when you get a plugin. Do not Full Report install any plugin simply because the owner is saying on his website that plugin will allow you to do this or that. Use a test site to check the plugin, or perhaps get a software engineer to examine it carefully. This way you'll know it is not a threat for you or your business.
